FAQ
The questions athletes, parents, and coaches actually ask us. If yours isn't here, hit reply on any of our emails or write us at gummygainz.co@gmail.com.
What is Gummy Gainz?
Candy that fuels championships. One pouch packs 20 g of complete protein and 78 g of rapid carbs in the 3.7:1 carb-to-protein ratio that recovery research keeps landing on. Tastes like strawberry lemonade. Engineered by sports dietitians, not influencers.
Where is Gummy Gainz made?
Made in the USA. Every pouch: 20 g protein, 78 g rapid carbs — built for tournament days.
Will it melt in my gear bag?
No. The formulation is heat-stable past 100°F. Throw a pouch in a tournament backpack on a hot weekend and pull it out unfazed. We tested it on purpose so you wouldn't have to.
Is it safe for NCAA, Olympic, and professional athletes?
Yes. Every batch is third-party banned-substance tested. Sunny, co-founder and a professional beach volleyball player, wouldn't sell something she couldn't compete with.
Is Gummy Gainz a supplement or a food?
Conventional food, not a dietary supplement. Under FDA classification, that puts us in conventional food (21 CFR 101), not dietary supplement (21 CFR 111). The distinction matters at NCAA, Olympic, and professional levels because conventional foods are treated differently from supplements.
Is Gummy Gainz safe for youth athletes?
Yes. Same third-party banned-substance testing as for adult athletes; same ingredients, no separate youth formulation. One pouch is typically a full recovery dose for tournament-aged athletes; smaller athletes can share or split a pouch. As with any nutrition choice for a minor, the team RD or pediatrician is the right person to dial in specifics.
Is it gluten-free, nut-free, vegan?
Gluten-free: yes. Nut-free: yes. Vegan: no. The protein comes from whey isolate and bovine collagen peptides.
What's actually in it?
Sugar, organic tapioca syrup, water, bovine collagen peptides, whey protein isolate, natural berry-lemonade flavor and color, citric acid, sodium citrate, citrus fiber, tapioca flour. That's the full list. No proprietary blends, no fillers we hide.
How many should I take?
One pouch is a full recovery dose for most athletes. Want the math dialed to your body weight, training type, and session length? Run it through the FUEL Calculator.
When should I eat them?
Within the hour after training, for the recovery window. Between sets, before a game, any time you'd reach for candy and want it to do something useful — also fine.
How is this different from a protein shake?
No shaker. No chalky aftertaste. No schlepping powder to a tournament. Same effective protein dose per pouch. And you'll actually want to eat them on game day, when shakes start feeling like homework.
It has sugar. Won't that spike me?
The sugar is doing work. Post-workout, your muscles are primed to pull glucose for glycogen replenishment — rapid carbs at this window get absorbed for recovery, not stored as fat. The 3.7:1 carb-to-protein ratio is the sweet spot for refueling, not the sugar-spike scenario that applies at rest.
Why doesn't Gummy Gainz use sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners?
Because real sugar is the work. Your muscles need rapidly-absorbed glucose to refill glycogen after training, and sugar alcohols don't deliver that. Many also cause GI distress during exercise. Real sugar is what the recovery window calls for.
What does it cost?
1-pack: $12. 3-pack: $33. 10-pack: $100. Subscriptions are $30/month for 3-pack or $85/month for 10-pack — and the 10-pack ships free on both one-time and subscription orders.
Where do you ship?
All 50 U.S. states via USPS, FedEx, or UPS (selected at checkout). Orders process in 1–2 business days. We ship to P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses. International shipping isn't available yet.
How does the subscription work?
Pick the 3-pack or 10-pack subscription at checkout, get the discount + free shipping on the 10-pack, and manage everything (skip, swap, cancel) through your account portal. No save-on-cancel pressure. Leave when you want.
What if I don't love them?
60-day money-back guarantee, full refund. The product is perishable so we don't accept physical returns — if you don't love it, we refund and ask you to share the rest with a teammate or training partner who might.
Who's this for?
Athletes whose recovery actually matters. Tournament players, weekend warriors, parents managing a kid's sports schedule, sports professionals fitting workouts around a day job. Anyone who'd rather eat their recovery than mix it.
