Our Story

Let us introduce ourselves—we're Sunny and Eugene, the co-founders of Gummy Gainz. Our paths crossed in an unexpected yet perfectly fitting place: a class called Venture Feasibility at the USC Marshall School of Business. Little did we know that this meeting would spark not only a great friendship but also a shared vision to revolutionize the way people think about fitness and snacking.

The Spark of a New Idea

Sunny:

As a student athlete, I was living the rise and grind life, studying while playing beach volleyball for Stanford and later USC. Balancing rigorous training schedules with academic demands was no easy feat. Like many athletes, I had a persistent sweet tooth and a love for candy. But finding snacks that were both satisfying and supportive of my performance goals was a constant challenge.

In the Venture Feasibility class, I met Eugene. Our mutual interests quickly surfaced—we both saw a gap in the market for a product that blended taste and nutrition seamlessly. Our combined experiences—Eugene's scientific expertise and my firsthand understanding of an athlete's needs—set the stage for something special.

Eugene:

As a PhD candidate in drug development, I was immersed in the world of bio, chem, and lab experiments in my pursuit of treating diseases. My passion lay in leveraging my scientific background for new innovations, particularly in health and wellness.

This got me thinking—could I create something that satisfied their sweet tooth while providing the nutritional benefits they needed?

The Birth of Gummy Gainz

During brainstorming sessions, fueled by endless cups of coffee and a shared passion, the idea for Gummy Gainz came to life. We envisioned a delicious gummy candy packed with protein that could replace the classic shakes and bars. It would have the carbs needed for muscle recovery, wouldn't melt in a gym bag, and most importantly, would taste just like candy!

Countless late nights turned into early mornings as we experimented with recipes, sought feedback, and refined our product. We wanted Gummy Gainz to be more than just a snack—we aimed to create a whole new category of fun and accessible fuel.
